PowerStrip 9500 SAW
Automatic Cut & Strip Machine with Rotary Cutting Unit and Saw Module The PowerStrip 9500 SAW is a fully automatic wire cutting and stripping machine with the addition of a saw module for the precision cutting of various materials, such as POF and Sucoform cables. The system is based on field proven Schleuniger PowerStrip family of cutting and stripping machines.
The PowerStrip 9500 SAW is available in two base units:
- PowerStrip 9500 P/SAW: A fully automatic cutting and stripping machine with programmable multi-blade cutter head and sawing unit.
- PowerStrip 9500 RSL/SAW: A fully automatic cutting and stripping machine with programmable multi-blade cutter head, sawing unit and programmable rotary cutting unit.
The use of the saw is controlled by the PowerStrip 9500 and is stored with the cable program in memory. The actual sawing process is managed by a separate control system in the saw module. Parameters for the saw module and blade selection are set at Schleuniger based on samples provided by the customer.

Applications
The PowerStrip 9500 SAW makes it possible to process applications which are restricted or impossible with other common cutting processes:
- POF, the clean saw cut guarantees a perfect end surface with low insertion loss. This eliminates the need for subsequent grinding, polishing or hot plating.
- Sucoform, the solid inner conductor is cut cleanly and at right angle with the cable axis.
