Laser Marking System

Laser Marking System
Laser marking is one of the fastest marking processes available on the market, without requiring any consumables such as ink, solvents or marking foil.

Overview

Laser marking is one of the fastest marking processes available on the market, without requiring any consumables such as ink, solvents or marking foil. The laser beam produces a highly accurate, repeatable mark time after time. In the long run, laser marking is the most economical solution when wires or cables must be marked.

Schleuniger has teamed up with the Exmore Group to create an inline cutting, stripping and laser marking system comprised of the Exmore laser marking system and any one of Schleuniger‘s latest cut and strip machines. The entire system is controlled by Schleuinger’s Cayman Wirelist Processing Software and the Cayman Device Connector add-in.

  • Ergonomic laser marking workstation
  • Vertical slide door for easy access
  • Easy to use with minimal setup requirements
  • Ideal for more challenging marking applications
  • Static or Dynamic (on the fly) wire and cable marking

Application Range

Perfect for Challenging Marking Applications

Laser marking is perfect for wires and cables that cannot be marked using other methods. The interaction between the laser beam and the material evaporates, engraves or colors the material resulting in a high contrast mark that is not removable and is resistant to water, chemicals, abrasion, heat, cold and UV radiation.

Marking Versatility

Text, logos, barcodes, time, date, and even sequential serial numbers can be marked anywhere along a wire or cable.

More Information

Inline Integration Decreases Handling and Increases Efficiency

Marking wires and cables as part of an inline system to mark, measure, cut and strip ensures that the correct marks are placed at the proper location every time. Cables are automatically positioned and lasered, eliminating placement errors and reducing labor costs.

Programmability

Entire wirelists with all parameters can be stored in the Schleuniger Cayman software. Easily recall all wire and marking information in a few easy steps.

Options

  • Prefeeder (various models available)
  • Equipment racks with wire guides and straightener
  • Post processing (various coiler and stacker models available)

Benefits

  • Very accurate
  • Readability: high resolution, high contrast
  • Great accessibility
  • Low heat conduction
  • Versatile and permanent mark
