UniCrimp 220 A
Crimping Station for CrimpCenter Series The UniCrimp 220 A is a crimping station designed for high speed crimping on CrimpCenter Series machines. The station includes a height adjustable base frame and an integrated Schleuniger Crimp Force Monitoring (CFM 20).
Electric crimp height adjustment is optional. It accepts most side- or rear-feed mini-style crimp applicators both mechanical and pneumatic feed. The speed and precision of the UniCrimp 220 A makes it perfectly suited for fully automatic processing of wires up to 6 mm2 (10 AWG). The press can be changed between 40 mm (1.58”) and 30 mm (1.18”) stroke for increased application range.
When using the optional electronic crimp height adjustment, any variation between the nominal and measured crimp heights can be corrected electronically. The benefit is decreased set-up time and increased run time.
Maximize Your Productivity
For short applicator change-over times, the UniCrimp 220 A features a quick-change applicator clamping plate. To further minimize machine downtime of your Crimp- Center we recommend the use of our ToolingShuttle System (TSS) with ToolingShuttle 30. With the ToolingShuttle 30, applicator, terminal reel and paper winder can be prepared for production while the CrimpCenter is running – minimizing machine downtime significantly when frequently changing applicators.
